The height of the inframammary fold is regarded as a good position for the nipple-areola complex (NAC). This, combined with projection, is what makes breasts appear young and attractive. With mastopexy, a sagging breast is restored to that position. We will examine you during your consultation, and advise you on whether you need only mastopexy, or if you require mastopexy combined with augmentation. Unfortunately, most sagging breasts are accompanied by atrophy or shrinking of the breast tissue. Proper fullness of the breast will, thus, require the placement of a silicone prosthesis whilst the breasts are being reshaped.
